Holiday in style at the Chateau de Houetteville
Overlooking an idyllic Normandy village, Chateau de Houetteville - our magnificent home in rural France - has been lovingly restored and refurbished to provide a truly luxurious environment.
This could be your magnificent home in rural France too – available when you want to get away from it all. And you can just relax and enjoy yourself – without the worries of ownership because we take care of it all for you.
While this is a haven of sheer beauty and tranquility, there is also plenty to do at Chateau de Houetteville, as well as in the surrounding area, at all times of the year.
Le Chateau de Houetteville offers all the amenities expected of a resort of its caliber and includes on-site concierge, private gardens to explore, a planned leisure centre with pool and treatment rooms and use of the Chateau’s Bentley and driver.
Our Le Chateau Plus members enjoy all the facilities and services of a premier hotel combined with the personal comforts of a private home. The accommodation at the Chateau has been divided sympathetically into a range of luxurious hotel-type rooms and one and two bedroom suites.
Facilities near the Chateau include horse riding, cycling, some of France’s best 18-hole golf courses, Rouen, Paris and Euro Disney. And there are a number of superb restaurants minutes from the resort for you to enjoy.
Houetteville is situated 25 miles south of Rouen and 60 miles west of Paris, making Euro Disney and the airports an easy drive away. The area is well served by motorways, although none impose on the Chateau or the village. A car on Eurostar to Calais takes about half an hour. In less than 5 minutes you are on a motorway heading west to Houetteville in about 2 hours. Regular travellers will know what a joy motoring in France is compared to England, with its high levels of traffic.
Caen, Dieppe and Le Havre with their ferry links to south coast English ports are approximately an hour away. Or for those who wish to fly, regular flights to Paris or into the local airports of Caen or Pontoise are also available.

How the Le Chateau Plus system works
Members joining Le Chateau Plus have a wide-ranging holiday choice. For a one-off upfront fee they can chose to holiday at the Chateau or in one of the Club’s growing range of resorts for the next 25 years. They can also travel elsewhere in the world through our international exchange partner which offers holidays at thousands of holiday resorts around the world.
Le Chateau Plus… means holidaying at the same or different locations, for short or longer stays, in hotel-type rooms or larger accommodation, one or more times a year, in different seasons, with family and friends or just together.
A unique concept in holidaying
Such a range of opportunities is only possible through the UNIQUE Plus Points system. When they join, members are allocated a certain number of Plus Points.
Members can use these to:
- Reserve holidays each year
- Choose the size and type of accommodation from hotel-type rooms to two bedroom suites
- Select the number of days they want to be away
- Select the time of year when they want to travel
Within the Le Chateau Plus system, each holiday has been given a Plus Points value based on the resort, accommodation size/ grade, holiday duration and the time of year. These Point values are fixed so members always know the Points required for the holidays they want to take.
When selected, the holiday is paid for by Plus Points. It’s a simple as that.
Membership to Le Chateau Plus is available in 4 Plus Point tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. Each membership category represents a yearly allocation of a specific number of annual Plus Points. These Plus Points are then redeemed against holidays at any of our exclusive resorts. A small service fee ensures that all the resorts in the portfolio are maintained to the highest standards.
The choice is yours
Members may use their Points exactly as they like. Rather than constrained to making fixed week reservations, annual Plus Points may be split up and utilised for several short-stay holidays throughout the year or as one or two longer holidays. Member may also borrow from the following year or carry unused Points from one year to the next.
