Location: LAUZERTE

Region: Midi-Pyrenees

Description:
Next to one of the most beautiful bastide of the Tarn et Garonne. 90 minutes to Toulouse. Rare castral set dating from the 13th and 14th centuries in the heart of the "little French-Tuscany". The Count of Toulouse received the honors of this seigneury which depended on the diocese of Cahors. Nestled in the heart of 51 hectares of woods, the castle protected "the route of the English" towards Périgord. The 17th century brought some elements of modernity and comfort to this very authentic architecture. The old dungeon was turned into a chapel in the 15th century, with exceptional frescoes representing the twelve Sibyls. They are women to whom the gift of knowledge of the future and prophecy were attributed. The building spreads over 727 m2 on 2 levels : 5 reception rooms, 2 kitchen, 8 bedrooms. Addition of beautiful outbuildings: a large barn of 249 m2, a guest house to restore 84m2. Detailed file on request.
